Pros

EnerSys offers good benefits, as well as decent starting PTO. Some good coworkers to work along with. The corporate cafeteria is pretty good also. At best, use EnerSys as an experience builder to get a better job somewhere else.

Cons

The leadership and management in corporate is as toxic as it can get. Incompetent people are promoted to positions of power they have no business being in. The pay isn't competitive, and the workload will be piled up until your performance suffers. These managers idolize and aspire for a "Wolf of Wall Street" type of office, and will actively target anyone whom they don't personally like. The turnover in my department was ridiculous. HR isn't there to help, only to try to protect the company from potential lawsuits. Employees who use their PTO are discussed negatively by upper management behind their backs. At least one manager will loudly berate his employees in front of other employees, as well as discuss loudly over the phone with other managers performance of other employees. I've personally seen that manager try to use spelling errors in emails sent to supervisors of employees he didn't like, in attempt to get them terminated.

Pros

Good pay and benefits for the area with no real skills needed. Most jobs are not that difficult to learn. Majority of your pay comes from showing up on time. Some of the managers/team leaders try and make things easier to deal with. If you have minimal skills you can advance rather easily due to the need for people.

Cons

Upper management only cares about getting product out the door. Currently working 7 days a week mandatory. Some managers will throw employees under the bus to save themselves. There isn't any real problem solving going on, everyone is just pointing fingers trying to obsolve themselves of blame. Knee jerk reactions are usually how problems are solved.

Pros

Good pay and the fellow workers are the best part of working there. If you looking for a job with a lot of overtime then you will like this.

Cons

Too many hours. Lots of overtime and Saturdays are mandatory. Machines constantly break down and don’t run so employees have to make up for lost production. New hires are required to wear respirators their whole shift for months at a time no matter how hot it is in the plant, your work area or your blood lead level.
