Pros

Great Co-workers - poor senior management

Cons

Good Old Boy Management - Terrible leadership out of Houston and Northern America. Management not based on experience or knowledge but rather who you know. Women aren't given equal pay or advancement opportunities. Management takes the lead in employee gossip. Pay is sub-par and not comparable to industry standards.

Pros

Employees that you work alongside with are fantastic, very well-mannered and are not discriminating, there is no "office drama". Casual dress-code. Above average compensation. HR Team is one of the best I've encountered.

Cons

Senior managers do not show leadership qualities nor do they care about their employees getting promoted, just that their employees need to get their job done. Not very helpful and does not encourage or enlighten you. Does not award it's workers. Advancement: Beware of doing the same things for years at Enerflex, majority of employees are in the same position for more than 5 years. Not very good at maintaining high morale, many people leave because they get much better opportunities elsewhere. Also there is no amenities or gatherings, seems like people are just there to work and go home. If you want to be excited to go to work everyday, look elsewhere,. If you just want a decent paycheck and not have any "fun" (although I wouldn't say any work is fun but less fun) then this place would fit you.

Military Veterans: Don't come to work here

Pros

When the price of oil is up, the company is up and the bonus is nice.

Cons

This company hires and lays off JMOs with the energy industry cycle. There are a few JMOs that have made it into management, but the organizational structure is flat and this is not a "Development Position." Enerflex hires JMOs when the business comes back because they need someone that is almost plug and play. I'd advise against coming here out of the military. If you're interested in energy, find a company that will develop you and has multiple career trajectories based on your preferences and the market. Enerflex is a big repeat customer of junior officers because they also lay off so many former junior officers. The organization isn't perpetually growing...they just burn through JMOs and other employees routinely.
