Pros

Strong pension and ok salary.

Cons

You rarely feel like you’ve succeeded and hard work often goes unnoticed. Experience and market expertise can be completely ignored. I’m sorry to say - if you want to progress beyond a certain level, you’ll need a politics degree which makes it a job, not a career.

Thank you for your feedback. In regard to listening to getting better at communication and involving management more, we will pass this on as this will help us ensure we continue to make Epson a great place to work. Our employees have been working on average 50% from home and 50% from our offices since the pandemic started. We are currently working on an agile working programme across all of our businesses in Europe. We will be piloting this change during 2022 as the pandemic eases. If you would like to you would like to discuss any of your comments in person, please get in touch with one of our HR team on epic@epson.eu

Not for women

Pros

Holidays are good, pension is good. Sick pay is good - better than the maternity pay!

Cons

The gender pay gap is MASSIVE - check it out on the website - don't work here if you are a woman. Maternity pay is terrible and there is no flexible or part time working. You are expected to work full time on your return to work and there is no consideration to your personal life. HR say there is flexible working on hiring but in reality you are meant to be in the office everyday - no home working and working 8.30 - 5 - not that flexible. Plus the traffic and car park is a nightmare - it regularly takes over half an hour just to get out of the car park

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We agree Epson’s annual leave and pension benefits are great. We appreciate your comments regarding our maternity package and gender pay gap figures; our total pay and benefits offer is constantly being reviewed and benchmarked to ensure we offer a highly competitive overall offer to our employees. The feedback we've had is that our employees tell us that the considerable benefits we offer at Epson are exceptional. We have just this week released our gender pay-gap report from April 2018, so this might give you a little more insight into this area. Despite the gender pay gap being smaller than other comparative organisations, we are committed to reducing it even more and have developed an action plan to achieve this. All employees can apply for flexible working and we have a core hours policy (which all employees are able to take advantage of to vary their start and finish times between 8-10am and 4-6pm). In addition to this employees can request further flexible working arrangements. 89% of these formal flexible working requests in FY18 were accommodated. In regards to the parking, most days all of our employees are able to park in an Epson parking space. Epson’s business is growing and in turn our headcount has increased and this along with other tenants joining the site has meant the car park has become busier over the last year. From time to time there are some days where a small number of employees have found it difficult to park, however this is very much the exception not the norm. Despite this we take even one employee’s difficultly in finding a parking space very seriously so we are currently investigating solutions. We will be providing further updates and information to employees on the matter. Thank you for taking the time to write this post. Your comments will be considered along with other feedback as we continue to make Epson a great place to work!
