Pros

Remote work environment with all equipment provided.

Cons

While there are dedicated individuals on the team, recent organizational changes have raised serious concerns. The company introduced mandatory trainings for new roles without any corresponding pay increase for most employees, despite significantly expanded responsibilities. Additionally, some individuals have retained higher salaries after moving into lower-level roles, raising questions about compliance with equal pay standards. When addressed with these concerns, HR communicated to employees via lower level management, reiterating concerns with an “It is what it is” mentality and messaging. This reflects an incredible avoidance of responsibility and 100% lack of care. HR communication around these changes has been poor, especially regarding compensation. Initially, the company posted higher pay ranges for the new roles, but later issued offer letters with no pay increase, creating a bait-and-switch scenario that has severely damaged trust. Additionally, employees are being quietly let go under the guise of “reorganization,” which has contributed to a pervasive sense of instability. The training process for these new roles has been particularly frustrating and unprofessional. The company is relying on newly appointed team leads to conduct the training, as many senior team leads have either been let go or have resigned. The training materials are outdated and often inaccurate, leading to confusion. Worse, trainers frequently resort to saying, “This is how I do it, but…” which highlights the lack of standardized, reliable guidance. Overall, the lack of transparency, fair compensation, and effective training has resulted in low morale. Leadership needs to address these issues and prioritize transparency, equitable treatment, and proper support for employees if they hope to rebuild trust.

Pros

The team mates Working from home I used to feel like I had found an unicorn working for Evolve

Cons

The job security here is 0%. Each day feels like it could be your last. Leadership is driving the company into the ground by delivering inferior service to both owners and guests. The sad part is that the brand could reach its potential if they listened to feedback from both Evolvers and customers. Instead, they lose customers for years before realizing that change is needed, even though that was obvious from the start.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave your review and feedback. Providing a strong owner and guest experience is important to us and we are continuing to take steps towards being a more customer-centric organization and feedback from teammates is an important aspect of this process. While we still have work to do, these efforts are paying off and we’re happy to report continuous improvements to owner churn and an average 4.7/5 star reviews from our guests.

Work from home Benefits were company-paid Company supplied technology

Cons

Where to begin. I worked as a temp with Evolve for 3 years, and it was amazing. Great company, great culture. Then I got hired. Red flags are just flags when you're wearing rose-colored glasses. Those glasses came off in training. People who have been there for years were teaching me how to do things (that I've been doing for years) incorrectly. And these weren't little things. Things that, if done incorrectly, would cost the company big money. Senior management didn't care. I watched a manager sexually harass a temp, and he got promoted. That same manager continues to this day to teach things incorrectly, or flat-out ignore his subordinates. When hired in December, I was told that there was a 6 month waiting period to be able to apply to a higher position. 4 people, whom I had trained behind the scenes, not only were allowed to apply but were promoted from tier 1 jobs to tier 3 jobs in March. I don't blame them, I blame the management. The rest of us who followed the rules were punished in May. Bare in mind that Evolve is still hiring at this time, and there's been 2-3 hiring classes since December. Mid-April, in a company-wide meeting, we were told than profits were down, but there were no layoffs ahead. 3 weeks later, they fired 14% of the company. 164 people. As of this writing, today they just fired an additional 20%, after saying no layoffs on the horizon. In the "sorry to let you go" meeting, the CEO had that audacity to tell people how to feel about losing their livelihood and being outsourced overseas, and to not leave bad reviews. Sorry, boss, they're all true. The supplied tech is garbage, and you'll end up using your own if you want to get anything done. The training, like I mentioned, is led by people who don't know the job. The training materials are years out of date, and you're expected to figure it out. There's no support, despite their claims to the contrary. Fact is, nobody knows what they're doing, but their still getting paid. Why would they risk that? There's going to be some copy-paste reply to this about forwarding it to the "people business team" but it's all lip service. Evolve used to be a fantastic place to be, and they cared about their people. I guess the C-Suite needed new boats.

Thank you for your review. We’re disappointed to learn of some of your experiences and would like to take the opportunity to address them. First, we’d like to acknowledge the impact that the layoffs have had on all Evolvers, both past and present. These events take an emotional and psychological toll on everyone involved, and while we do our best to show teammates the care and respect they deserve, we know there’s never a perfect way to go about it. We would like to clarify that our CEO and entire leadership team have been fully transparent in the months leading up to the May layoff, and were very clear that they would be necessary if the market continued to dip. We can also confirm our CEO has never referenced company reviews when speaking with our team, and we welcome any and all feedback that our teammates share here. As Evolve is constantly changing, our processes do as well. We have strategies in place to update training materials and up-train teammates, but sometimes, despite our best efforts, we may miss something. We depend on our teammates to let us know when they notice inconsistencies so that we can make the necessary changes and apologize if this happened during your tenure. Additionally, we have zero tolerance for any form of harassment within our workplace and trust our leadership to take all steps necessary to address any concerns brought to their attention. The health and safety of all of our teammates is and will continue to be a top priority of ours. We sincerely appreciate all of your feedback as well as the time you have dedicated to our team and wish you the very best in the future.
