You are a cog. You are not a human being.

Pros

Good PTO, good pay (if you fight for it)

Cons

The leadership at Evolve has comfortably settled into their position of demanding "high performance" from everyone, all the time. Teams have been squeezed down to the bare minimum, and whoever is leftover is expected to handle several large projects at a time with no commensurate pay increase. You are expected to prove your worth week in and week out, or else be fired. Yeah, people are still being fired. You will be promised relief in the form of new hires that never come. All of the cycling of people leads to enormous wells of knowledge lost. Also I've seen many deserving women be turned down for promotions when they should've gotten them! I haven't spoken to a single person at Evolve that doesn't feel this is true. The culture has been rotted to the core.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We appreciate your continued commitment over the past several years and are glad to hear you’ve found value in our PTO and compensation. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has felt unsustainable and disheartening. We are committed to a customer-obsessed and high-performing culture. We care deeply about our teammates and have taken a focused approach to listening and responding to teammate feedback through a variety of channels. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to share more through direct channels like your People Business Partner or engagement surveys. Thank you again for your honesty and the impact you’ve made.

Pros

The top pros are paid medical, remote first, easy day to day processes. Honestly they will give you this job for extremely low effort if you need a job. If you want work life balance this is a great fit. Mostly because you could do this job with your eyes closed. No experience needed. They will train you to use the platforms and work with you to make sure you can do the job. Very entry level stuff. There is a ‘ramp up’ period after training. Training last for 1 month then goals start at 1,4,6,8,10,12 to 16. 16 is the company wide goal for all VRA’s. During the ramp up period you can make easy money. Nothing to brag about, but if you need a job it’s worth it.

Cons

This is a call center. You have to make a minimum of 30-40 calls a day. They will not tell you in interviews or training that this is a call center until you’re getting singled out on reports. VRAs just dial to dial to hit these numbers. No one is actually having 30-40 conversations. Goals- Hitting the ramp up Goals are easy. However about 5% of tenured VRAs that have a goal of 16 were able to consistently achieve that. Commission- It is dreadful… the commission is the same every month-for every VRA-No matter your goal. So if your goal is 1= 2,900 or 16=2,900. There are small accelerators for overachievers but it’s really laughable. Once you get to the tenured goal of 16 it’s likely you are not going to hit that goal let alone the accelerators. Base pay- Not even worth mentioning. It’s just pennies… Growth- There’s literally no growth within Sales all VRAs are considered the same no matter if you’re here for 1 month or 5years. There is a Dedicated Advisor position that opened up in 2024. They are over the Plus membership clients. There is a low amount of Plus clients so that role will most likely not stick around. Staff- Extremely high turnover. Very reactive management. They honestly have no emotional intelligence when it comes to professionalism. Instead of strategic communication upper management sounds like toddlers having a tantrum. No engagement in meetings. Very dry culture. The ERG groups have zero engagements. Evolve just doesn’t get how to build a high performing-remote first-collaborative culture.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. As you noted, this is a sales role—with clear expectations, performance targets, and the training to support success. We’re consistently reviewing our sales processes, compensation, and structure to ensure we’re setting our teams up to deliver results while growing in their careers. We’re committed to building a workplace where people can grow and do meaningful work, and we know that listening is a key part of that. If you're open to it, we’d value the opportunity to hear more from you directly.

Pros

Remote work Some cool colleagues Get to talk to some great homeowners

Cons

Goals are high for what you are receiving leads wise. Management doesn't seem to care about the employees at all. Management will treat you like a number and use scare tactics. Management does not actually help and will gaslight you in thinking they have been "coaching" you. Low pay VERY micro management style Systems are low key a joke and ALWAYS has issues happening.

We appreciate you sharing your experience and are glad you’ve found value in our remote environment, your colleagues, and the relationships built with homeowners. Evolve is a high-performance organization by design. We set ambitious goals because we believe in the capabilities of our team and the impact we can make together. That environment isn’t for everyone—and that’s okay. Success here requires a high degree of accountability, adaptability, and a willingness to grow through challenge. That said, strong leadership is a priority. We continue to invest in our managers and systems to ensure that high expectations are matched with the right level of support and clarity. Feedback, even when critical, helps shape that progress. We remain focused on building a culture where top performers thrive and where every Evolver has the opportunity to succeed.
