An older company with lots of red tape around access and processes. Also very hierarchical - top management is quite heavy, there are too many VP’s and Directors. They pride themselves in being agile but their reporting structure says otherwise. Some employees attitude is that they have been doing things a certain way and would not like to adapt any new processes or systems. So it is tough to bring about a change,

All of the above is true and I completely stand behind it, however, the organisation in which I worked (operations), the story is a bit different. All of the pros I listed are still there, but the chaos and stress in operations is just too much. I was met with stellar expectations that sometimes weren't even shared with me, until they hadn't been met. I was told my voice was important and had to be heard, but whenever I needed it to be heard, I was ignored. I also found irrefutable proof that I was lied to about certain things. The above is what made me leave my position there. It was a bittersweet experience.
