Pros

Great Coworkers, pretty good benefits. For the most part the company seemed stable, so there is job security. 830-5 hours.

Cons

Poor Managment, cant transfer out of a department until after one year, even then its up to managment if you can or not. Cross Trained in several roles but still only made 12.00 hour.

Pros

Average benefits, work space/building is clean and comfortable. Cafeteria services are fine. Other than that pretty average company to work for is most regards.

Cons

This company is slowly laying off all it's workers at some of its worksites. In late November 2010 about 200 IT workers were laid off and are being replaced with contractors or consultants mostly in Bloomington and St.Louis locations. Other positions in the company seem to be out-sourced or off-shored - it's pretty sad. They just announced they are closing the Bensalem PA location with 1,000 people being let go. The IT area is being mainly affected by this, morale is poor, many people who are not laid off are looking for new jobs elsewhere. Company seems to be looking to cut costs and save money where they can while making record profits. It seems the Bloomington MN location is slowly being closed down little by little and jobs shifted to the St. Louis headquarters - they would never admit to this but it appears that is what is happening. They are already advising that some of the floors in the Bloomington location will be leased out to other companies as they don't need the full building any longer for express scripts employees. Benefits that cost the company nothing have been taken away - such as casual work attire on Fridays. Use to be a good company to work for but it has changed for the worse. Employee benefits are just average - nothing special.

Pros

There are some very good areas to work within Express Scripts. There are good knowledgeable staff that embrace consultants and contractors.

Cons

Managementn lacks vision. Management did not hold staff meetings to convey information across all levels. Management treated consultants much differently than perm employees. Management also continually hammered to consultants that Project Managers were always going to be consultants. Express Scripts also has a annual calibration feedback system that evaluates an employees work based all internal customers and others feedback determining their racking and stack against others. Concept here is to weed out the week and the ones left will grow and learn from the experience. They - management - does not grow their team nor do they listen to consultatns to optimize and streamline their internal processes The Program Management community within Express Scripts is going through (rolling out) major changes. There is a lot of internal overhead (fluff) that monitors metrics and scorecards that are not consistent across various department/verticals. Remove the fluff and force managers to do their jobs would eliminate a lot of waste of money.
