Pros

Nice location at HQ and good, hard working people work there. NIce amenities available such as the onsite oil change, car wash

Cons

Micro-managed to death! People who don't have enough knowledge and know-how are promoted to people leaders without knowing how to truly lead. Leaders Lead - I think not. Career paths are pointless unless you are someone's friend. Management's idea that employees will train themselves is flawed. You are thrown into the fire immediately with little to no training or direction. In some of these departments, if you can walk and chew gum at the same time you're a manager but they are totally ineffective and imcompetent, and always ready to point the finger at someone else if something goes wrong. Total lack of employee support from direct management, they are always worried about looking good at the next level, will throw their employees under the bus if they think it will allow them to be unscathed.

Pros

The company is very competative in regards to compensation.

Cons

This company is a good example of a badly run organization. Express-Scripts process' are manual at best. This company grew too fast and has very little internal communicating programs. No communication from management or training. They pop you in a chair, thow a bunch of files at y ou and tell you to "run with it". And you better not make a mistake in the process. High volume of work leaves you juggling a work load and being reprimanded for not completing everything perfectly. If someone tells you about a open position here, run don't walk.

Pros

Powerful tools to help manage clients and provide comprehensive metrics and analyses Detailed guidelines for how you will be performed Fair compensation and benefits package

Cons

While the company preaches integrity, compassion, etc. it is simply not the case. One of the most toxic working cultures I have been involved in. Little colloboration between teammates and management definitely played favorites. I was "acquired" in a buyout by Express Scripts in 2009. The company I came from was told only 10-20% of transitioned employees would be laid off in the first two months. It turned out, nearly 80% were laid off in the first month in a half. However, the company was still able to host an annual sales conference for 700 emplyees in February, while 700 employees lost their jobs the next month. The culture was not inviting for those of us left. We were referred to as the former company's employees by staff and we knew our time was limited. In November, we were told that our jobs were safe by a Senior Level VP and that there was more work than they knew what to do with. Once the transaction happened, most of our clients were released or we were forced to manage them so poorly that they would leave if the contract could not be voided. For those who lost clients, they were laid off unceremoniously, even though several similar positions were still being opened. In a nutshell, I was forced to leave a company I was very happy with and experienced first hand the losing end of a corporate takeover. While the company does invest heavily in their sales organization, you are simply a number to them. As profitable as the company is and as metric focused as they are, they do not compensate their Account Directors appropriately for basically being sales people. There is only an annual bonus that is decided on department metrics, rather than a commission scale based on individual performance. I am happy to be away from such a toxic environment and would not recommend this company to those who value integrity and compassion.
