I mean, it’s a Job

Pros

Work from home, relatively chill, no face to face or zoom meetings, 9:30-6 Monday-Friday. I literally won’t hear from my manager or even talk to anyone else in the whole company except for maybe like twice a month. Once you get everything figured out you’ll have to get creative to keep yourself entertained the whole day (TV, YouTube, etc) but in my opinion being bored is better than being stressed and super busy. As long as you do your job you’re left alone.

Cons

The hours are both a pro and a con. On one hand, it’s definitely better than retail. On the other hand, 6pm is really late to get off work these days. The pay is also insulting for pharmacists. They start everyone at $52 an hour. The insurance is also trash, especially since it’s owned by an insurance company. Only 18 days of PTO, no sick time (it comes out of your PTO bank), and there’s only 56 hours per year of PTO you can take that they technically can’t deny. Due to the working hours you essentially have to use PTO to do literally anything that involves healthcare as well. As far as the actual job goes, it’s extremely easy. But following a script is hard when you have the same conversations with patients 40 times per day. If you go off script then you’ll start failing audits that they do at least twice a month.

Pros

Good benefits package with the exception of stock options. Fairly flexible schedule. Still able to work from home.

Cons

Constant reorgs, either no support from management or they hover over you.
