Pros

I had Supervisors who sincerely respected me and genuinely cared about me as a person.

Cons

Professional and financial growth was next to nothing. I found that it profoundly effected my enthusiasm for my job. When I interviewed I distinctly asked if there was room for promotion and growth and was blatantly lied to. I did not want to join a company where I would be stuck in a rut but that is exactly what happened and not because I was not talented enough but I would have to relocate to Florida to do so. That was not the original information given to me in the interview.

Pros

Vacation time is really good, at least on the Legacy Medco side of things.

Cons

Upper management does not care at all about the employees. Everything is about numbers, to the point where it's detrimental to our customers. They want attainable numbers, but care nothing for sustainable numbers. If you have the audacity to speak your mind, even with data backing you up, they are willing to strip as many privileges away from you as they possibly can. Morale is terrible. I used to work for Medco, and the company was so much better to its employees, and in turn, to its patients. Middle management is in a turn over extravaganza, and everything is falling apart. And the company doesn't seem to care. It's still all numbers, and if we can't stay up to par, even when they throw barriers in our way to slow us down, then we're obviously just not good enough.

Pros

Still have a job. Good 401k plan.

Cons

Pay freeze. Insurance premiums increased with higher deductible. You are expected to output over 100 scripts an hour or be put on a probation program. Quality is suffering, which hurts the patients. Stress is very high. Getting to the point where I don't want to go to work. We also had a new hire group start with 20 people, we have 5 left that made it. I read that Express is planning on hiring 1,500 people for their St Louis plant. They better hire 5,000 people to start, maybe by the end of probation they will have the 1,500 people they claim to be looking to hire. Be ready to work like crazy for a sub-par paycheck.
