Pros

Really can't think of any pros when it comes to Express Scripts.

Cons

Where shall I start? Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians. Raises are based on your popularity, if you're tied with a peer when it comes to your raise, whoever is better likes gets the highest raise. Express Scripts WILL NOT give the top raise to every employee who deserves and/or earned it. If you do get a raise, it's only pennies. And as far the bonuses go, again it depends if they like you or not. The better you're liked, the higher the bones. They don't believe in giving everyone the top raise and that is coming from a supervisors mouth. What I've noticed as far as promotions go, African Americans and Middle Eastern people are the ones being promoted. I could go on and on, but I won't. I'm not a bitter former employee. I put in my time and left on great terms. Just not a place to retire from. I would rather clean bathrooms then work at ESI. Glad my prison sentence is over.

Pros

the penalty for leaving early,401k plan company match dollar for dollar, benefits

Cons

management in CRD department is horrible, incomplete evaluations no explanations for raises they just give you whatever, rotating shifts every four to five months, if your hired into the CRD department no advancement . I left a job I was working for two year to only be looking for new employment only a year later after being hired . I was placed into he worst department of the whole company. the other department are way better managed and it worth applying for but if you see prior authorization don't do it you'll be very upset

Pros

1.) A paycheck in exchange for work. 2.) Paid Time Off (after accumulating enough hours). 3.) Friendly colleagues and supervisors (for the most part). 4.) Occasional free food at the office.

Cons

1.) Unrealistic expectations of human (not robot) employees. We are given a very high number of prescriptions to fill every hour in mail, fax, and electronic queues. However, we only receive credit for new prescription "shells" that we create, and not scripts we have to forward to other departments (which accounts for about 1/4 of the work we actually do). 2.) Quantity over quality. Throughout my training and first 90 days of employment, "patient quality" (error-free prescriptions) was stressed as more important than meeting the numbers. I managed to stay error-free throughout my training and first 90 days. However, during my 90-day review, I was told I had 30 days to speed up or else the company and I would "separate." (I am not a slow typist at all; the standards just seem impossible to meet.) 3.) The B.S. Corporate Image. We have meetings once per month to emphasize "success stories" about Express Scripts. Euphemistic language is consistently used in the most ridiculous way, in order to convey a positive image about their own out-of-touch bureaucratic ideals. "Opportunities" is used when an employee is falling behind, as in "missed opportunities." (Ex: You only filled 200 scripts yesterday, so there's a perfect opportunity for you.) 4.) The pay. $11/hour. Nothing more to say about that.
