Pros

The teams I worked directly with were very hard working, no matter the issues they were hit with.

Cons

Being in management, I can say the annual rankings are forced. Employees are not graded on their own performance, but rather what HR directs us to rank them as. We were unable to reward our hard working employees in the manner in which they earned. New employees (with no experience) are brought in making more than long term employees. Favoritism is rampant at all levels. I was with the company for years, and have seen first hand gender bias at each level. As employees left, and we were many times unable to replace, management is "forced" to get more out of remaining employees, with no sympathy for their home lives. When I first started with the company, it was an awesome place to work, but in the last several years, especially since the merger, the company is in a downward spiral. Many long standing, dedicated employees at the company have either been laid off, or left voluntarily due to the work environment.

George Paz needs to go

Pros

The people I work with are great, not the managers but the workers. When Express Scripts first started out they were great. No night shits or holidays. Had to take a 35% cut in pay but it was worth it to get that time off and have some what of a normal life.

Cons

George Paz has lost contact with the employees as the company grew. This week the new schedules were released for the Pharmacists. Most shifts now start a 1:30 in the afternoon and don't end till 10 at night, they have also taken away our weekends and holidays! Now we are working a worse shift for far less pay then the retail Pharmacists. After many years with the company I seen it grow from a great start up company that cared about its employees to one that treats there employees like slaves! PTO does not exist as you have to sign up an year in advance to even have a shot at getting a day off. I have been on the phone with many Pharmacist's the last two nights, I can't even explain how upset they are.

Pros

They provide competitive wages for pharmacy technicians. From what I understand, they pay more per hour than most pharmacies.

Cons

It's very apparent that they do not value their employees. It doesn't matter to them what you accomplish, or what you sacrifice for the sake of the company. I'm convinced that you could be the highest achiever, and you could give them all of your working years, without even receiving a thank you in return. If you believe in working hard, do not get a job at Express Scripts, you'll only be casting your pearls to swine.
