Pros

not a great time to be working at this company- many changes are going on that are alluding to major lay offs as part of their Reduction in Force initiative - more responsibilities added to already disengaged employees and more changes and re-org still to come

Cons

Company is changing strategy and undergoing major re-organization and looking for more way to work effectively and efficiently ...end result is added responsibilities and more dienganged employees

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are always looking for new ways to connect with our employees and provide channels for them to ask questions, get info quickly and share ideas. One way we’ve increased transparency this year is through our new "Ask Me Anything" series with leaders on the employee intranet. If you have ideas you feel would be beneficial, we encourage you to discuss them with your manager during your 1:1s or in the next "Ask Me Anything" session.

Pros

ES is a great place to work. It’s a dynamic company with very good benefits and significant opportunities for learning and career growth. The culture has shifted toward a greater focus on employees. Employee resource groups help build communities within a large organization while providing opportunities for networking, mentoring, and collaboration. Promotion from within is typical, and many of my colleagues have been with the organization for several years. I appreciate working for a healthcare company that makes a difference in people’s lives.

Cons

It can take time to learn the business and workloads can be a challenge. Also, too often assertiveness is rewarded over collaboration.

Pros

The company continues to make strides in changing the perception of the culture. The new CEO not only promotes Integrity, Mutual Respect and Passion, but seems very genuine in living it daily. Leadership has learned that employees have varying needs that must be met in order to be more successful in their role, contribute to the overall success of the company, and view the company as a positive workplace. Whether it's an attractive bonus structure for financially driven employees, or a flexible schedule for those driven by a better work-life balance, new initiatives are being implemented to meet specific needs and ensure that good employees are retained, and good talent is attracted.

Cons

The changes being made to improve the perception of the culture is a work in progress that is going to take time. Some long time employees and leaders find it difficult to accept and allow some of the new changes, which has lead to frustration of employees in their areas who feel they may not have the same access to the improved opportunities. Additionally, some of the new initiatives and changes are not clearly defined or understood, which can cause confusion and conflict.
