Pros

PBM industry is very profitable and safe industry to be in. In Account Management, you have a team you work with so you can learn from others and they will help you with your accounts. Most of the account teams consist of folks who have been there a very long time, so they are knowledgable of the industry.

Cons

Very old school and old technology used. Lenovo laptops. Not very willing to change or try new things. Top heavy and favor the employees who have been there forever. Bureaucracy for the most part. It all depends what team you are on and what manager you have of course. They underpay folks who are new and overpay folks who have been there forever and are deadweight.

Pros

Health insurance and related benefits are pretty decent. There are quite a few good people who genuinely try their best to make things better at the company.

Cons

Most if not all the teams utilize outdated hardware and software, with extremely slow turnaround time on fixing issues, updating software, deprecating EOL hardware/software, and overall lacking in drive to make things better. Management would rather pay for many outsourced unqualified contractors to act as technical support 24/7 than hire software engineers to develop solutions to their problems. Similarly, management would rather maintain legacy code from the early 2000's than to replace those projects with modern programming languages, frameworks, tools, and technologies. I also personally had a bad manager, who kept pushing for technologies that I believed should have been a much lower priority for us to move forward with compared to the exponentially rising technical debt that we were accruing. This manager also disrespected a coworker who was dealing with an immediate family member that was dying, telling them to prioritize work over their terminally ill relative.

Pros

i still work from home.

Cons

management only promotes you if you kiss up to them. they do not care about how hard you work, that you support your peers, get good reviews from patients. they will still give you a terrible review. just so they can justify giving only a. 1.5% raise for the year. it doesnt even keep up with inflation...let alone the value i bring to the organization i bring to the company for working there for over 12 years. i have the knowledge of 4+ departments that i use in my daily job and i get paid only $2 more per hour than new-hires.

Pros

Great benefits- weekends off -

Cons

When I first started with this company in the Billing & Enrollment Department we were given the work we were trained on. After Covid all that changed and now it seems we are given work that should be done by another department that is at a higher pay scale. Almost feels like we are doing management or supervising lead work load and too much pressure for the pay scale.Every week is something different and never consistency. Plus new hires are getting hired in at the current pay most of us that have been with the company 2 or more years are at and that is not fair. When we started out it was around 15hr hired in and most of us now make around 18-19 hr which is what new hires with less experience are making so I feel that our pay scale should be increased taken that into consideration. As inflation costs are rising and it’s not fair that a new hire makes the same amount as the ones with years of experience

Pros

- Flexible work schedule, many roles are able to be worked remotely and management is understanding of work/life balance - Supportive and encouraging company culture - Lots of training resources for continued development and growth

Cons

- Work life balance is usually good, but when times are busy - it’s really busy - Would like to see salary adjustment for inflation
