Pros

Good pay, double time and a half during high volume, good benefits, great management-employee relationship. I had no problem communicating with my supervisor, trainer, manager, human resources, etc. Cafeteria had Starbucks coffee, opportunity for advancement. My schedule was perfect, 11AM-8:30PM M-F, paid holidays. You had to choose what you wanted your schedule to be, greatest to least. People who had worked there longer had first choices.

Cons

When I worked there, they changed it to where you were either on calls for most or half the shift, or on faxes. I was easily bored as I was assigned to be on calls most of my shifts unless my supervisor allowed me to switch to faxes. Call volume was low a lot of the time.

Pay Development opportunities - If you do not have a great manager Favoritism 2 Weeks or more Vacation Time Environment is young and sometimes loud with disregard to workplace environment Can feel unappreciated Not many work from home opportunities in entry level positions

Large corporation with decent benefits and opportunities for furthering one's education

Cons

At the location in Indianapolis near the airport, a manager for the eligibility group would regularly pass employees without acknowledging them. An employee would see good morning and this manager would look and walk forward. This led to very low morale.

The company is growing with the new health care reform requirements and has positions and growth potential. Very big Company

Cons

Very difficult to get issues resolved as Express Scripts inc. has become very bureaucratic. Their internal processes need to be aligned with the growing scoop of their business to best meet client and member satisfaction.

Good benefits, Medco employees are wonderful.

Cons

I worked for Medco for 11 years then ESI for 3. ESI has an awful environment, no communications between csr's, supervisors, floor manager and managers. Fast pace that does not let up. ESI ask you to do more and more each day but never trains you and expects perfection when we live in an imperfect world. No forgiveness for small errors just punishment. Work your butt off, get a 'stretch' on evaluation but no raise given. Work hours are inconsistent, you could work 9-5 then work 11-8, then work 5-2. Doesn't matter how many years you have in. ESI is all about the money, while Medco was about the patients and employees.

The 401K match plan and low cost of medical benefit plans available to employees. There are some great people who work for this company. Unfortunately, none of them are in leadership positions to make the impact this company needs to remain relevant among the competition.

Cons

No work life Balance Poor direction from leadership Employee attrition due to unbalanced workloads and responsibilities between departments No accountability from internal teams Deplorable work culture with little to no recognition and leadership by management at any level
