Eze Atlanta is a Solid Choice for Software Developers

Pros

Developers at all levels in the Atlanta office get a lot of freedom in their design choices and implementations. Work-Life balance is good (weekend work only for deployments or when there is a hot-fix that needs to get into the main software branch). Great benefits (health plan is really good, plus their matching on 401K is outrageous). The office environment isn't one of those "have fun at work" kind of places, but the colleagues are good and they have great snacks. Also, the bonuses for developers is pretty good.

Cons

Planning culture is currently in flux. Company is moving away from waterfall method and moving into agile development with all the pain that involves. I think this will smooth out over the next year.

Pros

Company culture is great. People are very nice and company provides many opportunities to socialize. Team members work very closely with each other creating a great synergy and bonds. Benefits are great as well. Bonuses provided each year are hefty as well as company matches your 401k. Company will pay for many professional certificates and reimbursed on gym memberships.

Cons

Work hours are long. You need to spend about 10 hrs a day at work. You ready do not get reviews so you do not know how you are doing comparing to others. Makes it hard to understand your performance. Not much opportunity to move between roles or move higher on the corporate ladder. When interview few years ago, was not really sure what the position is actually about. Very vague description.

1. Very young and smart peoples, great cultures. 2. Clear career path. 3. Senior management people are listening and responding to employee opinion. 4. New causal dressing code for non-client facing positions. 5. Free fruit, drinks, coffee, snacks. Wednesday bagels and Friday beers.

Cons

1. Work-life balance could be better, but again, it is a financial industry. 2. Compensation is low compares to other companies, but with decent benefits.
