Great place to work with only a few down sides.

Pros

They value growth, support honesty and openness, and have great health benefits for the employee. The environment and people are stellar (especially in the departments I've worked in) and my work schedule has been exceedingly flexible. I've been given multiple opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills with new responsibilities, even when I had no prior experience. There's a large amount of autonomy and trust.

Cons

Outside of Development, higher compensation, even when switching to a more challenging role, is difficult to get. You have to fight tooth and nail to get them to give you a raise that's more than 4% each year, and wherever you start at salary-wise is where you'll have to work from little by little. It's very taxing and I've seen extremely valuable people get discouraged and leave the company because of this (and receive much higher paying jobs that they deserved). There's also a great deal of difference in the cultures in certain departments (Development, Content Innovation, Content Production, Publisher Relations, Publications) and those in other departments (Marketing, Customer Service, Sales). While I see our values lived out in the first group of departments, the second group have a much more fear-based culture that doesn't breed honesty and openness. This fear-based motivation can lead to the employee often looking out only for their own job instead of the good of the entire company as a whole.

Pros

Logos loves their employees. I feel cared for in every way - from small things like unlimited soda and espresso to one of the best benefits package available. I am in my 30's and have worked for several companies and have never been taken care of like this.

Cons

Since this is anonymous I have no reason to hold back. The truth is, though, I cannot think of a single con.

Pros

Faithlife seeks to highlight your talents and helps your personal growth. They understand that your personality matters, and that’s what makes each person unique. The compensation is very competitive. Faithlife cares about your input; they are always seeking to make a better work environment. Working at Faithlife is FUN! When you need to step away from the desk there is an entire floor dedicated to having fun: there are video game consoles, a ping pong table, an air hockey table, and plenty of coffee! There is never a feeling of being over-worked.

Cons

The family insurance plan is a bit on the expensive side. Other than that there is not a single con in my book.
