Pros

Can be a great place to work if you have a good relationship with your partner, management, and Fire. They actually issue designated 30 min meal periods during your shift. Equipment (generally) is in good working order. Vehicle problems are attempted to be addressed quickly, but thats also because they don't have units to spare.

Cons

Scheduling dept. is a nightmare. Lots of issues and they don't do a good job of helping employees in correcting even their own (scheduling dept.) mistakes. Management is seemingly out to get the employees for violations. The company is very quick to pull the trigger on disciplinary action and termination rather than to rethink how employees are/were trained. This Company has one of the longest training programs of any other company in the field but the new employees are continually entering the field unprepared for the position.

Pros

you will learn...something if you apply yourself. but don't expect to run 911 calls they are IFT's all the way!

Cons

management does not listen, they play favorites and will switch your schedule at their whim. this job is nothing like being a FF/EMT! they tried almost every shift to get me to operate out side my scope of practice and this was true across the board from EMT-B to CCTRN. pay is the lowest in town!

Thanks for sharing your experiences and offering feedback on your previous role at Falck. I'm disappointed to hear your feedback regarding management and the difficulties you had regarding shift patterns and pay and benefits. At Falck we continually strive to be a great employer and your comments are not reflective of Falck as an organisation. We always accept that there's always room for improvement in everything we offer our employees and this will continue to be in high focus for us. I will be sure to forward your feedback to the relevant location.

Pros

The patients most of the time.

Cons

EVERYTHING, pay is min wage or just over. Management doesn't answer the phone when you call for help when you're on shift. They're flat out rude and do not listen to employee's concerns. Can't say enough awful things about this place, unfortunately.
