From Inspiring to Toxic

Pros

Fetch used to be a great place to work. The culture was supportive, good work was recognized, and leadership genuinely seemed to care about employees. There was a strong sense of purpose and camaraderie across teams.

Cons

In recent years, Fetch has taken a sharp turn. They fired almost all of the original executive team brought in leaders from big tech. Many without prior C-suite experience, and the culture has deteriorated significantly. What was once a people-first company is now marked by toxicity, finger-pointing, and unrealistic expectations. The new executive team often praises each other in public channels, claiming to be “proud of the culture they’ve built,” even as internal survey scores plummet and morale hits new lows. Micromanagement is rampant, and change is constant with no process for managing it. Projects pile up as leadership continues to chase shiny new ideas without deprioritizing existing work. “Moving fast” has become code for “constant thrash.” Employees are burned out. Strategic planning is essentially bottom-up, while revenue goals are set top-down without any grounding in operational reality. When targets aren’t met, instead of accountability at the top, blame rolls downhill.

Company is a joke

Pros

Our supervisor is the greatest of all times and really cares about our mental and physical health.

Cons

This company does not believe in hiring black people which is very evident by the lack of color in upper management. They don't care about training their employees so that they can move up the ladder and make more money. AGAIN, THEY DON'T HIRE BLACK PEOPLE and don't believe in promoting the hand full that currently work for the company.

I'm thrilled that your manager is great; at Fetch, we know that our experience at work is driven both by the culture of the org, the work we get to do, and our relationships with our managers. We have a new recruiter starting this week who will be focused on building as diverse a slate as possible for open positions, and they will work closely with our inclusion specialist to draw a thread from hiring to onboarding to development in seat and in other positions in the company. We are always working to improve across all areas of the organization. -Rachel Olchowka, CPO

Not a place for queers or people of color

Pros

They will try to pretend they hear what you have to say, but no real issues will be really taken into consideration. They have a good “wellness” program that you can’t really benefit from since you’ll be too busy.

Cons

They will give the low end of the pay ALWAYS if you don’t know your market worth. Queers and people of color are almost always forced to talk about how “great” it is to work for the company, and the company cannot adequately address the persistent DEI issues happening in their departments. They’re in denial thinking they’re doing the best. Management is mostly white and does not understand intersectionality. They spend more money on showing off how diverse they are, instead of actually walking their talk. Not all the employees have the same benefits, especially the unlimited PTO. There is no clear path to grow and you have to come up with all plans for how you’ll carve your way with minimum to no help from management.

Hi there - thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We want Fetch Rewards to be a welcoming and diverse place; that's a big priority for us, and is a focus of our Employee Resource Groups, DEIB Specialist, and Social Impact program. I hope that, if you're comfortable, you'll reach out to me so I can learn more about your experience and address the issues you mention here. Rachel Olchowka, Chief People Officer
