Pros

Helix is truly the platform of the future.

Cons

It's basically a WWF Royal Rumble of cluster B personality disorders. The company is steered by whatever faction has amassed enough political capital at any given time. There is always an "in group" and an "out group" here that changes about once a year or two. You'll be at the whims of management that would rather play organizational chess than actually benefit the company or build good products/services. Kissing up and kicking down is the norm at FireEye. So either stay away or pucker up.

Hit and Miss

Pros

They at least put on the appearance of paying attention to employee concerns; current CEO has steered the ship away from the rocks

Cons

Manager quality is hit or miss; at a recent all-hands meeting, the CEO lauded a bunch of guys who camped out at their desks to make a deadline while other execs touted work-life balance. Also, in CA the hiring is heavily biased towards Indian men.

Thank you for your feedback. Recognition is an integral part of our culture at FireEye, which is why we highlighted the above and beyond effort that one of our teams demonstrated in order to make an important deadline--in line with our core values of putting the customer first and executing on our commitments. Diversity is also core to our value system and we are always trying to improve on that front--not just in CA but across the globe--with our Women in Technology and Security (WiTS) organization being just one example of what we are doing to promote mentorship, networking and community outreach.

Pros

Honestly there aren't any. They talk a good game during the interviews, but it is not at all like you expect.

Cons

If you were hired before 2013, you've got it made. You can do no wrong and all new people are expected to do what you want and not have opinions. I watched good talent come in and go out within weeks.
