Pros

Decent pay, good way to hone your customer service skills and face to face interactions.

Cons

Ever since the merger with Cash America, things have gotten progressively worse. Cut throat environment, no loyalty, no job security and DM’s are becoming ever increasingly micro managerial. Not worth the BS - go work for a bank and make the same pay. I’ve been an entrepreneur myself - I started 4 coin shops and know how to make money and provide great customer service. I want out as soon as possible

Pros

Very simple job for decent pay. Short hours compared to most retail, occasional weekends off. Great people to work with and great customers. Learn a lot about people and different product lines.

Cons

Middle and Upper management tend to lose focus and bounce around a lot. It seems as if one area needs improvement, then that's all that is important until that area is improved or begins to improve, then it becomes unimportant again. First Cash bought Cash America and told employees it was a merger. They lowered employees income, shorten vacations, sick time, and removed a lot of other Cash America benefits. They also removed customer benefits such as return policy, this is no longer a courtesy to the customer. The customer now has to pay additional fees up front to be able to return items, even if the item is broken. Seems like they are so big now the only way to grow is to take away from employees and customers.
