      Corporate Ownership Destroying Legacy Companies

      Pros

      Large corporation with solid resources.

      Cons

      Fletcher has the power and capacity to be great but shareholder interests mean investment is minimal. Legacy companies are driven into the ground by profit chasing. A behemoth of an organisation rife with nepotism, sexism and office-bubble management. Agility is all but impossible in the FB environment which is top heavy with management.

      Pros

      Large international organisation with huge diversity. Lots of good people and lots of good business units within Fletcher Building.

      Cons

      The previous CEO bought short term gains at the expense of long term pain. Many restructures, job losses, costs cut etc. This is all coming home to haunt Fletcher Building now through: Loss of knowledge and experience. Collapse of workflows. Lack of structure

      They say they are all about women in construction & support working mothers with flexibility and one would think if you are passionate and have delivered on performance that they would support you but it’s all a lie. As soon as the market has downturn they do restructures. Don’t value or care about their staff as we are all just a number
