Business Outlook
Pros
I enjoyed chatting with my coworkers. Some of those relationships will be lifelong friends.
Cons
Long hours, low pay. Professional software practices are non-existent. Software engineers are treated like factory workers. If you like clocking in and clocking out, and having your hours micro-mananged, this is the place for you! Expect to be building code on the same slow computer accounting uses, rather than a machine built for software development. Each year they will dangle a bonus out in front of you, only to say that "because reasons" you won't be getting it. People with disabilities need not apply. FlightSafety's "job requirements" for software engineers when I worked there include being able to "stand for one hour".
