Pros

I am new to Foodbuy but have worked for several companies in my career and Foodbuy truly stands out for the following reasons: -The people here are smart, energized and passionate about their jobs. -Foodbuy is owned by a larger company -Compass Group - so career opportunities are endless. -The training and on boarding process is extensive and everyone is eager to help each other succeed. -Diversity is evident and there is a committee dedicated to it. -There is a committee dedicated to planning monthly networking and social events so you have plenty of opportunities to put yourself out there. - Foodbuy is and will always be changing and evolving, so you must be adaptable and eager to learn in order to be successful here. No day will be the same so if you like fast pace and get

Cons

-Foodbuy is owned by Compass Group (a larger company) and there are not a lot of opportunities to interact cross functionally with that sector of the business. -A con for some individuals could be the constant changes (stated above). -I have not experienced it, but have noticed employees struggling when moving from one department of Foodbuy to another.

Pros

Flexible PTO (No sick days so 21 days are given at the start of each fiscal year) Work from home (Given after 1 year of employment)

Cons

Where do I begin? Foodbuy is a division of Compass Group and accounts for the majority of their revenue; however, the way Foodbuy structure their contracts makes it easy for them to double dip and collect additional money from their suppliers. There's really no real structure at the company meaning a lot of busy work and managers who make things up as they go and cry their way into Director level promotions. In addition, there's a lack of diversity and isn't a very warm or inviting culture. Single women are told that if they want to succeed they need to spend 40+ hours in the office. There's a great deal of nepotism - children, nieces, brother in laws will be hired before other candidates. There's also the look the other way mentality. If an employee is doing well and bringing in revenue for the company, sexual harassment claims against him will be swept under the rug. If a manager is extremely hostile to her direct reports, it's not an issue, especially if the employees are minorities. Lack of structure Data Management and systems are archaic KPI's are made up and not really in place Promotion of unqualified employees (seems like anybody and everybody can be a manager) Lack of diversity Pay increase is only 1-3% HR is only 3 people

Foodbuy provides their employees a platform to explore and advance your career. A good work life balance with flexibility to work from home and a generous PTO for new hires.

Cons

Complex business structure can be overwhelming at first but coworkers are willing to help
