Pros
I get to work in a variety of athletic training settings, including high school and semi-professional sports as well as clinical. Its a very well rounded position so you don't get burned out on one thing too quickly. Foundation Health offers great incentives to get employees to Fairbanks. I was already sold on the job, and the incentives were just a plus! They really know how to take care of employees and value them as individuals. My grandmother passed away approx. 2 months after I started here, resulting in me having to leave for the lower 48 for over a week. Vacation was donated to me by my peers and I am so grateful. I love working here.
Cons
The only con about this job is that I am far away from my family, but they know I am the adventurous one and we find many ways to stay in touch!
