Favoritism is alive

Pros

Decent benefits not competitive. Steady income depending on position from what I heard higher ups tell me. Sometimes nice coworker depending on branches from what I’m told. Opportunity to move up if liked in the branch.

Cons

If you aren’t a favorite expect to be appreciated less, pay can be better lots of other companies pay more. Seen how they treat long term employees if they have no use for you they let you go easily. Good career opportunities if you’re on the list of favorites for management and regionals. Will let you go fast if they need to cover themselves seen it happen to coworkers and friends.

Pros

Good culture (The golden age has passed but its still better in comparison to other NY/LI Orgs), remote-first for back-office employees (Or Hybrid depending on your manager/department), 401k match is excellent

Cons

Low pay Projects spring up out of nowhere from other departments, roping yours in when your team is already overloaded with work Strategy changes often, most recent one seems to indicate aggressive growth plans which will only exacerbate all the problems Endless audit & compliance asks
