Pros

Great benefits and great programs like Virgin Pulse where you can earn money simply for trying to practice a more healthy lifestyle.

Cons

Employees are not valued or recognized for their talents and experience especially if the employees were a result of one of Frontline's many acquisitions. Titles and pay do not accurately reflect roles and there is little to no understanding or investment in some of the product business lines purchased. Employees are expected to document productivity by documenting their time which takes more time than it should. There is a process for every process and it's almost impossible to actually get any work done. There is zero support from upper management and a lack of attention to customer service. Customers from most companies acquired by Frontline feel a huge difference in the amount of progress made toward development or rather, lack there of and there is much less focus on caring for the customer. Employees are practically punished (or let go) for wanting career advancement opportunities which are non-existent.

Frontline Education Response

Thanks for your review. We don’t always get everything perfect, but we are always looking to improve as we strive for excellence! We’ve addressed some of the topics you’ve brought up in the past, so I'd love to chat with you to get a better idea of where the disconnect is. Part of Frontline’s strategy is intentional growth: both organically and via M&A. That being said, before we complete every acquisition, we go through a detailed deep dive of that company’s employee base. We take the time to understand skill sets and competency areas – and then we work to scale these small companies where employees wear numerous hats into our larger organization where individuals can focus on an area they are really good at and can thrive in! We place high value on the incredible diversity of skills brought through acquisitions and organic hiring; and we’ve found that it’s rare that opportunities provided aren’t enthusiastically embraced. We also work hard to ensure our titles and pay practices are internally equitable and competitive to the local market. Our performance expectations are designed to reward top performers and help exit those who don’t. Again, thanks for your feedback, and we wish you the best in your next endeavor! ~ Laurel McDermott (Director, HR)

Pros

I will share the previous OP views about RVC and expand. There are a few, only few good employees left here. Good benefits.

Cons

The mantra here now is - find all flaws in products and teams around us, this will make us look better. We have far more managers here than others, leading everyone with lies, miscommunications and misdirections. Then we have the so called Product Managers here, too many of them for the smallest product in the company. These people have no respect for UX, QA or the SMEs. They are inexperienced, arrogant and unprofessional Our concept here is let us build everything ground up, because everything everybody has built is useless.

Pros

The organization is committed to learning and is focused on becoming a HILO—high impact learning organization. This is evident in manager trainings, online learning opps, and tuition reimbursement. Salary is good and benefits are great. The health insurance is the best I’ve ever had. Also employees just made a tidy little profit when the company was recently sold. And, it was just announced that there is now unlimited PTO. That’s because the company honors work life balance. Not to say I don’t work a lot. I love the flexibility I’m given at Frontline and the trust and gratitude they have in employees. Nearly 1/3 of the company is remote and many who work in the offices routinely work from home. The culture is great because of the talented, nice, dedicated employees who work here. I’ve read some of the negative reviews and have never experienced any of that. I find the leaders to be incredibly open and honest—good and bad—about what’s happening in the company. More so than I’ve experienced in any other company.

Cons

It is fast paced and constantly changing. If you don’t like change, this isn’t the place for you. As you might imagine there are growing pains that come from bringing multiple companies together. There have been hiccups and leadership has been committed to fixing them.
