If you are looking for a stable company and to make good money Gallo is for you. If you want work satisfaction and feel like you are making a difference in an organization Gallo is not for you. The company in general is very set in its ways. My feeling is that Gallo does not like change and many employees feel threatened by change and new ideas. If you take a job at Gallo my advise is get in, learn what you can and move to a company that you can actually use what you have learned.

Gallo IS department has adopted bureaucratic blend of: 1) non-technical "analysts" that "face" with the customer but are many times technically under-skilled to make a strong impact and usually end-up "in the way" of people actually getting things done, 2) frustrated developers and technical experts, and 3) low-initiative and fairly clueless mid-level management selected more for their "diverse" gender and race, rather than their "diverse" competency in the IT field. I guess somebody would rather have a department that looks good in a photo rather that one which is aggressive, competent, and garners confidence from its customers.
