Large company that provides stock options and competitive benefits.

Cons

* Salary was below average. * Company does not value work/life balance. * Very political (you have to know the right people to get anywhere) * A lot of red tape to go through in order to do simple tasks.

Pros

The discount and my coworkers. It's such a meager discount (15% off games/ accessories), but games are expensive nowadays. My coworkers, bar a save few, were awesome and made time pass by much more rapidly. If you're anywhere over 25 working as a sales associate, then you probably won't feel so much at home as I was.

Cons

It's easier put into a list. *Just terrible management. No communication at all past the store manager, and even that's pushing it. Multiple times our store was penalized because our manager failed to relay information to the associates and the asst. manager. He takes excessive lunch breaks and tries to exploit our system to get away with it. Each shift he spends hours in the bathroom reading his book while, due to new company policy, there's only one person behind the counter trying to finish off a gigantic line. *Pay is horrible, and it is almost impossible to advance. Managers have no drive or ambition so they are likely to stay in that spot forever.

Pros

Good for the experience and get to learn about computers and games. Do not think it's your ticket in to the gaming industry though.

Cons

They would hire some dingbats sometimes. When it's busy, it's REAL busy. I worked there when Sega launched the Dreamcast and it was times like that where I wished I had another job. But it was still less sucky than Best Buy, so I'm told. Lots of theft among the constituent stores in city districts.
