Hyper Growth, Change, and Opportunity

Pros

We are building something that's never been built before and with that comes unique challenges and opportunities to leave your mark. We have great managers who care about their teams and want to help us grow and succeed at a personal level. We also have great access to learning and the freedom to upskill with Go1 content or use a budget to purchase other learning/membership opportunities. Our vision and clarity are evolving as we grow and discover what works best for our business model and with that comes a lot of change. Sometimes that's a pro, and sometimes that's an opportunity to be challenged and grow. I won't say my attitude is always positive as change fatigue is real, but I do know that my voice is welcome and I appreciate being heard, the multiple direct and anonymous ways we have to provide feedback, and the flexibility to bend and mold when needed to accommodate a unique customer or partner. Coming up on four years and our attrition rate is incredibly low. As evidenced by some of the recent reviews, we have gone through a few rounds of layoffs as the company realigned around a more focused go-to-market strategy. Beyond the layoffs, very few individual contributors in the US have willingly departed Go1 and a few who left have returned.

Cons

Constant change is hard and exhausting. Building a startup unicorn requires constant change. Now we are going from startup to scaleup and with that comes even more change and iteration. If you thrive in a boring and stable environment, this isn't for you. If you like to be challenged, problem-solve, and design better systems, Go1 is a great place to be. I know that sounds like some HR boilerplate b.s. but it's just the reality. We are building the bridges as we cross them and that isn't easy. We all hope that we are building a sustainable, calmer, successful future with the changes we are going through. Objectively, I have a good job on a great team bringing more opportunities for learning to the world and those things outweigh any of the cons I might have.

Pros

The people I get to work with everyday. Our product is amazing. Our Marketing team is awesome and growing our brand the right way. Pay is good and a market that needs a solution like ours

Appalling Processes/Poor Payment Plans

Pros

Great employees, everyone is pleasant to work with.

Cons

The way they make decisions on pay, commisions and general processes is bizarre and somewhat insulting. If you are trying to work at Go1 in any sales related role, keep looking. They don't give you 100% credit for any deal you sell, they raise quotas for no reason and cut commsions because they need to make up for lost revenue in other areas of the organization. Every year Go1 seems to pay less and less but wraps up the pay plan in fancy lingo to try and offset the ridiculous cut in pay.
