The people, benefits, good product

Cons

Processes aren't concrete, difficult to get assistance at times when it's needed the most. Not as much flexibility with working from home as advertised. Day to day commute is rough if you don't reside in Virginia.

Pros

- Really enjoyable work environment. Company values speak volumes to the people that work here. - On top of yummy snacks and drinks, there are company wide events like monthly catered meals together, going to Nationals games, 5k's, etc. which is really refreshing in the sense that it helps integrate more genuine conversation with people - Great work/life balance with the understanding from leadership when personal or external things come-up. - Amazing product with people who are passionate about the product they are actually selling, which regardless of your role is motivating to be around passionate people to work hard and come into work everyday - Asking questions are welcomed and encouraged, and you feel compelled to actually do so because of how assisting everyone is.

Cons

- Very fast-paced, classic kind-of start-up feel in the sense that there are constantly a lot of moving parts, and could be at any given time, so while I would recommend GoCanvas to friends, I wouldn't encourage if this kind of environment isn't your cup of tea. - CEO likes to use a "Stop Light" analogy for level of comfort in a job, and believes that growth happens in the yellow (discomfort & courage). This is something I think is huge also to outline for anyone who doesn't respond well to this feeling (again tying back to that fast-paced temperament that exists here). The goal of it is to encourage growth, making sure you're never too comfortable and loose track of that drive, but I only point this out because that's not necessarily how everyone would react to this kind of environment

Pros

The work environment is one of the top reasons I have stayed at GoCanvas as long as I have. The values are truly at the heart of the company, in all the decisions that are made. People are more than employees, and our mission is to truly make the work for our customers better! My team is amazing! They are supportive and genuinely care about you on a personal level. I feel that I can go to my team lead with any questions, for guidance, or for feedback and I will get it honestly and respectfully in return.

Cons

The commute for me at times can be long but that isn't a fault of the company. I knew where the office was when I signed on. And honestly, the people and what I do make the drive every day worth it! -- so not really a "con".
