Hey there, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the Glassdoor community! I couldn't agree more with your assessment that we focus on learning and development in-house! We are building internal training - geared towards specifically the skills that our team and team leaders have asked for - every single quarter. Being responsive to the training requests of our team keeps us on our toes, and also ensures that we are specifically helping our team rise the to challenges they find on the job. That our team always leaves us more skilled professionals, when they eventually move on in their careers, is also a goal of ours! Be sure to check out the Agile module we built in 2020 for the whole company! As for changes, absolutely! Astute observation. We are known for saying the only two constants at GoCanvas are our Values and change. That type of environment doesn't suit everyone, but it sure is a dynamic way to learn and work! Thanks again for your feedback and sharing your lived experience!

Pros

Really great, fun office and atmosphere

Cons

A little unorganized, classic startup though. Not great leads when I was there and commission kept changing, so be specific what you were looking for.

A truly mixed bag

Pros

- The company has a few really great people left working there. Some of the most empathetic and caring individuals I've ever worked with, work there and are still there, trying to make it. - The company is trying to stay engaged with employees esp. through COVID by way of happy hours, weekly all-hands, trivia nights, etc. If it's available on zoom, they'll likely do it. - Several teams are still led by strong leaders and generally work hard, putting in the necessary work to be successful. I say *several* so finding the right team is key if you end up coming here now.

Cons

- PE acquisitions are generally a nightmare. This one that occurred by way of K1 started off fine, but in 2020 it quickly has destroyed a lot of what made the company great. As other reviewers have said, it's not what it used to be and the strong culture warriors either left or were let go. - Executive leadership is a joke. Several C-suiters have left this year and the remaining ones are questionable. It's a far cry from the leadership that once made this company great. No one is steering this ship. The board and the exec team are all white male (except one) so D&I at the leadership level is lacking. - The product team was decimated in the layoffs that happened in August. If you look at the company product page now on the website, half of that team is actually under marketing but they left them under product so it wouldn't look as bad. The business strategy arm was broken apart and it's all about the numbers - gotta stay cash flow positive! It's the only "rally cry" that they have left. In short, the company has stopped innovating and is putting all their cash into marketing the existing product. If you are an engineer, PM or a designer, this is not the place for you.

Hi there, firstly thank you for your contributions to GoCanvas! If you were with us for the past few years you saw significant growth and considerable investment into our product, including the launch of 2-3 new offerings. We agree that developing new product offerings was a core strategy of the company over the past few years. We are proud of the products developed and the value they offer to our customers, and it is important now that we focus equally on marketing and sales to get those great products in the hands of the companies that can benefit from them. This also aligns with our rally cry, which is indeed about growth. All the while innovation continues, however, as our latest offering launched just this week, and I must say we are very excited about it and the continued great work of our product and engineering teams. You are absolutely right in your observation regarding keeping the team engaged! Ensuring our strong culture and the experience of belonging remains in a remote environment is important to us, and Zoom has been a wonderful tool to facilitate 'being together even as we are apart'. Thanks again for your contributions and all the best in your future endeavors.
