TOXIC! Run Away!

Pros

Plenty of hands on experience. Free monthly lunches. Close to the Inner Harbor.

Cons

Below market pay. Minimal annual raises that don't cover the cost of living. No room for growth. High turnover. Toxic, two-faced, micromanaging attorneys run the office. And the way they do it makes no sense. Narcisstic to the point where management thinks they're always correct. They'll also find any reason to criticize you and have no problem disrespecting support staff and even associates, even in front of the entire office.

Pros

Work-life balance is respected. The firm is generally good about work-life boundaries, which is rare in this industry. The firm offers a standard competitive package for time off , which is the only area where they seem to keep up with market standards.

Cons

Zero room for growth, raises do not cover inflation (2% to 3% range), bonuses are insulting.
