Company Culture changing

Pros

Beautiful building, free parking, onsite gym and cafeteria, overall nice people, Leadership Team more accessible than most to associates.

Cons

Over the past 10 years, the entire Leadership Team has entirely turned over, and one result has been a change in company culture to be more cutthroat. While Expense management is necessary, the pendulum seems to have swung the other way regarding the company caring for its associates. Candor and Communication are upheld as core values, but my experience is that candor is not always welcomed. I like and respect the CEO, but at times he seems to surround himself those leaders who "shout the loudest", which is not always the best approach when encouraging all associates to come forward with their ideas for the betterment of the company.

Changes for the sake of changes

Pros

The salaries are fairly good for the type of work.

Cons

The new CTO seems to throw a lot of buzz words, trying to impress the board. Among his genius ideas was firing every single manual QA tester, with some of them giving 20-30 years of their life to the company. Yet, Grange continues to boast how they treat their employees like a family. Grange can't seem to figure out how to survive in the new world. Their best ideas so far have been firing a bunch of people, and scaring a bunch of other people into quitting. My advice to anyone still with Grange - update your resumes.

Pros

Free parking and great location

Cons

Micromanagement, age discrimination, trying to get rid of pensioners, complete male management, very little women in leadership positions.
