COMPANY OVERWORKS AND OUTSOURCES

Pros

Paid holidays No weekend work Insurance (though not very good insurance) Unlimited PTO (though it is heavily monitored and used as a grounds for termination)

Cons

Massive turnover, including multiple layoffs with no warning Forced demotion of managers when convenient Overbearing, micromanaging leadership team Revolving door of executives that gut the company, then leave Defrauds the government and practices that sign with the company Offshores most stateside employees with undertrained and confused Indian employees Lies to practices and employees regularly about future plans Pay is well below industry standards Overwork stateside employees to pick up the slack created by the offshoring No inside hire promotions (with those that are lucky enough to get an opportunity to move being actively undermined and disrupted by the management team to keep them from moving on) Development team continues to put out faulty products despite years of providers requesting issues be addressed Owned by Vista Equity Partners, who have their own shady dealings accusations and short sighted, quick money practices Bad company. Do not buy from them or be hired by them (probably not a problem for you if you live in the States, since they are only hiring in Bangalore now)

Pros

Unlimited PTO is all that’s left. Health plan is now HDHP. They took away the really great plan to save money.

Cons

Instability, consistent exits of the C Suite- President is gone and CFO and CGO are on their way out. People are working 60-80 hour weeks and destroying their sanity, personal lives and it’s taking a toll. But then lower level employees are coddled and babied so they don’t lose the people answering calls from our disgruntled customers. There is unfair treatment across the board from this organization. If you’re looking to get experience to jump start your career, maybe this place is for you.

Outsourcing and "Role Relocation"

Pros

There are plenty of opportunities to learn. The size of the company means that the turnover rate leaves room for advancement. The people that you work with on a day to day basis are great. Knowing that your work has a direct impact on the Doctors, Nurses, and other employees that take care of patients goes a long way towards making you feel like you're making a difference.

Cons

Product Development jobs are being outsourced to India while positions are being "relocated" to Tampa. Of course, relocating a position 7-8 hours away means that drastic turnover is expected. The outsourcing was billed as a way to free up existing employees to work on the brand new product they just announced. That message was repeated up until the day they announced that they want to "unify operations". Now, many people in Carrollton and Birmingham are left looking for jobs and the Birmingham Campus will be closed at the end of the year. Everyone always says that the pay at a job is abysmal. It's kinda a thing with job reviews. For Greenway Health, as a "relocation candidate", the first few job offers that came in once I began my search were in the realm of 15-20% more than what I was being paid at Greenway Health. My "opportunity" to relocate did not include a pay raise (only a pittance for relocation expenses), so there is no incentive to uproot my family and move away from loved ones. The high deductible healthcare plan is worthless if you're looking to start a family. The next year will be a difficult time of transition as the company attempts to build a new product and convince the existing customers that it is worth the transition. In the past four years, Greenway has been through three sets of layoffs if you include the "relocation" layoffs. Imagine a software company taking three major products that do practically the same thing and consolidating them all to a single product. That thought alone one suggests that more layoffs are likely within the next 18-24 months. Bless Talent Management's heart... they'll spend months working to put spin on the negative reviews so that it doesn't tarnish the positive reviews that were so heavily promoted through posters and internal communication.
