Pros

when you first join, you are fascinated by the cult environment (going to motivational speeches at 7am, buying company merchandise/clothing to be inclusive, the belief they have in each individual, the millions of high-fives now that you are part of some "family")...........

Cons

If you even consider not drinking the cult water, you will be horrified by the truth. You may find out how your new "family" looks down on anyone who isn't an executive. Then, unlike when you first arrived, you notice the small company paid group lunches configured of people/positions who don't make sense. You notice the dramatic lack of diversity in leadership (one talented african-american man who was promoted was given an office the size of my closet in the back corner...literally). This divisive cult environment will even go as far as to RARELY promote from within but, you will see a random, attractive caucasian randomly appear with a position they have yet to create and receive more respect than those who have worked diligently for years to gain respect and attention from the cult leaders. KEEP OPINIONS TO YOURSELF....I cant emphasize this enough; if you start asking logical questions or attempt to show the leaders a better solution in an effort to stand out, they will take it with a smile and pat on your back but will start to think you may become a problem (what the eager employee sees as trying to stand out, leadership sees as a threat to their jobs or worse....being "contagious" to their followers because the last thing they want is for their followers to actually ask questions or have opinions)............................................................................... if you apply to work here, drink the "water" or prepare to pack your bags.

Pros

Everyone outside of the "Groundworks" label is friendly and fun. JES, JES Sales, Accounting, Payroll, and a few good eggs here and there.

Cons

GW has the amazing ability to talk about their achievements of successes. However once you join the team you quickly learn how it is being done. There is little to no understanding of what responsibilities or job components should be tied to a title. You can be ripped from your position either very quickly without warning or they can gradually handicap you into a spot where you're incapable of completing basic functions of what you're initially hired to do or in some situations where you can't accomplish anything. (Beware of vague job descriptions, know what you're specific skills are and work to keep at them.) There are no set and maintained chains of command, rapid growth gives senior members the ability to pick up or drop off parts of the job they no longer want or parts they use to gain a name for themselves. Its a free for all and everyone else seems sort of used to it. Its unusual and no one really knows who to ask what from week to week. Your successes and your achievements will no longer be yours, they will be taken by someone above you in pay scale and they will take credit for them and use it to their advantage. This also applies to advancing or streamlining your own processes, you can work yourself out of a job here if you outperform. There are extreme cliques here, and the trash talk is rife, there are always people whispering in corners of the building, this is very stressful. They are polite to your face but as soon as you walk out of a room the nastiest and disrespectful things are said. This transcends all levels of leadership here. There are also extreme tempers here, few members of senior staff scream, shout and on occasion throw things, its very scary. Do not confide in anyone here, there is no integrity, and no one here is a friend, nothing is kept confident and NO ONE in any department maintains accountability for it, including HR. Do not come here unless you believe you can mute out or handle the chaos. The rapid growth is causing them to let basic standards, practices and even basic manning fall through the cracks and it will eventually collapse.

Pros

Most positions are posted at competitive pay

Cons

The 'competitive pay' they lured you in with is a sham for you to do the job of 3 people to support the cult-like attitude of "joining the tribe". You don't get promoted unless you know people higher up on a personal level. Nothing is performance-based, just political and how much they like you.
