Pros

Flexibility to work from home, open to feedback and continue to see more communication and broader products

Cons

Growing pains with some staff wanting to cling to the past and newer staff trying to overcome and fix sins of the past. Overall, headed in the right direction

Lost and a bit desperate

Pros

-Smaller company, so some access to upper management -Most people I worked with were very nice, genuine people -Job flexibility and base pay were decent -Had a great direct manager

Cons

-Lack of clear direction across the company. Appetite changed a lot, and messaging wouldn't always trickle down to sales people having to deliver the messages to agents -Poor communication for such a small company. As stated above, UW and sales always seemed to operate separately, making the company look disjointed and unorganized. -Many members of senior leadership had no idea what they were doing, or basic knowledge of insurance, including the current person that sits over sales. Also, many senior leaders really didn't seem to have a personal connection that was genuine with employees -Agency force that had tenure with the company had not been trained at all, so this created a lot of hand holding and issues that most carriers wouldn't have to deal with on a daily basis. -Lots of meetings and "busy work" that took away from revenue driving production. -Really poor service times and SLA's. Had to constantly follow up with some underwriters (especially on church side) or service folks to get information instead of them taking ownership. -Some underwriters, especially on the church side, had no salesmanship to them. -Unrealistic and not well thought out planning process for goals.

Pros

A true culture of caring about each other and supporting home/work-life balance.

Cons

At the time I was there, the organization was going through a large new system implementation so lots of organizational change to absorb.
