Pros

Guidewire provides a lot of flexibility = good work life balance and benefits (i.e. healthcare, 401k match etc). People are generally great and collegial.

Cons

In recent year(s), compensation has not been competitive and leadership has not been as strong and lacks diversity, which leads to a lack of perspectives in my opinion.

Pros

Salary, benefits and occassional food

Cons

Implementing a new hybrid policy without data to back up why it's essential for employees to return to the office. No consideration for employees' lives in regard to covid safety. They will tell you to talk to your manager about it.

Pros

Strong, effective management that has done a phenomenal job of providing guidance and direction while leaving plenty of room for individual initiative, creativity, and respectful discourse. As much flexibility as one could want in terms of where and when I can work, the tasks I can choose to perform, and the initiatives for change and advancement that I can choose to participate in. Great benefits, good salary, bonuses, stock grants, and many other perks.

Cons

Like many companies have done, we have recently moved away from accrued time off, and can now take time off as we want, up to a certain limit. This policy causes one to feel somewhat reluctant to take personal time because it is no longer something that one is technically entitled to. On the other hand, I have not experienced any issues with taking personal time, just a feeling that it is less of a reward or entitlement, causing some inner feelings of guilt.
