Fast Paced and Stressful But Helpful Staff

Working at H&R Block is very fast paced . As they expect you to complete returns while the clients waits in the office you will need to have a good working knowledge of completing tax returns in a timely fashion. If you're knowledge level is shaky regarding doing tax returns this might not be the job for you

Cons

Their style of doing instant tax returns can be very stressful, some information regarding clients tax situations is not always available upon request, very fast paced

H&R Block does taxes. Their tax software is excellent.

Cons

H&R Block emphasizes speed and volume of returns. They pay minimum wage and to improve your remuneration (make "bonus") a preparer needs to be grabby and competitive with others in the office.
