Pros

Traditional culture is about really caring about clients on a personal level, not just getting their taxes done. They throw in a lot of things for free. It feels good to get to truly help people.

Cons

Middle management is more concerned with not being fired than about running the business. They drop like flies. Union style culture where the elderly experienced tax pros will go as far as to hide client information on clients they don't even have time to complete on time to prevent other tax pros from completing them. Experienced tax pros at war with corporate culture. Health insurance turned out to be non-existant, waste of money.

Pros

Great people in a high-paced environment. With the seasonality of the business, it's very fast-paced and high-stress but everyone works together to get it done and get it done on time.

Cons

Depending on the dept there's not always a lot of room for growth. Often not a defined career path.

Pros

Great place to work, pretty good management, and great people to work with

Cons

The HR pay rate for non-commission works could be a little better. Also, the paperwork for the hiring process is rather lengthy, took about 2 hours to complete via the web.
