Pros

Flexible Hours, a lot of free time during non-peak weeks, friendly personnel. The senior pros are very helpful to the new employees. Possible to gain a lot of tax experience in a short time

Cons

The worst part is probably the fact that the training costs $200 and takes almost 3 months, but the salary is barely above minimum wage for first year tax pros. In addition you are not eligible for bonuses/commissions the first year.

Pros

Really good training on personal taxation and lots of opportunities to learn more complex taxation issues. Managers really helpful with getting used to preparing taxes.

Cons

Work hours. To maximize hours should be prepared to work nights and weekends when most people schedule to have their taxes done
