Pros

Great training, good coworkers, great support from coworkers. It is rewarding to help the clients get the maximum refund or pay the least taxes legally allowed. Challenging work.

Cons

Management expects you to work 70 to 80 hours a week during 5 to 6 weeks of the 17 week season. Then 20 hours during the rest of the season. commission per return is reduced each season and they want you to up sell peace of mind and Refund Anticipation Checks. Has not changed much in the past decade.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, easy to work around other obligations, great people to work with in the office, lots of others to help you out when you need it.

Cons

Unrealistic marketing expectations, unwilling to stick to a plan, constant changes, compensation is terrible! Not paying people what they are worth. Too much has been taken away from employees and there seems to be low morale because there is a disconnect between the people on the ground and the people in the ivory towers.
