Pros

If you are retired then this may be a suitable place to meet similar peers. If you are looking for only a casual position then this place may be suitable since only casual positions exist.

Cons

Many little suburban offices means most employees have never met each other. Managers and RTAs at head office rarely have the full picture of what is happening in working suburban offices, which makes up the whole company. A high degree of subjectivity in employee attitudes possibly due to the high level of average age of long-term employees.

Pros

Good office atmosphere between co-workers. It varies between offices, but overall the company does a decent job at hiring good people. Fluctuates from fast to slow-paced throughout the week, so it's never monotonous. The company allows for a flexible schedule, which is perfect for students.

Cons

Clients can come in or call already upset (usually because of the IRS) and blame H&R Block for their problems. As a CSC it is your duty to be the front representation of the company, so you take the brunt of client complaints. As the face of the company, it is important to never look bored or like you have nothing to do, which can be difficult when the day becomes slow. In my experience my manager would get upset with me for having nothing to do, even after restocking the entire office.
