      Pros

      It's interesting work. Most of the clients are very nice. Many co-workers are super people.

      Cons

      They treat new people abysmally when it comes to pay. Minimum wage for a job that requires 100 hours of training (not including homework) before you can start work? No longevity raise until you've been there 10 years?

      Some really great people to work with.

      Cons

      Lacking overall IT governance, upper management support and clear direction from an architecture standpoint. Work life balance doesn't apply to full-time IT associates only to field and business associates.

      professional training is only $20/yr to learn as many professional tax courses that HRB have to offer

      Cons

      much too low starting pay for the technical knowledge one has to know to apply to very important Federal rule based taxation work (very legally line of work & important like any-any tax attorney's work at a common day-to-day tax laws vs very complex corporate tax law which practicing attorney may getting pay at at the range of $100-500/hr. Note: 1st year minimum-credit taken for college interns working at many companies in the same local area getting pay starting at $18-19/hr for both private companies, school institutions like MIT-LL, and government work for state/local municipalities.
