Pros

Positive environment, great place to learn about taxes, great benefits.

Cons

Horrible pay, bottom tenth percentile of compensation per title for the area (according to salary.com). Under staffing for the work load results in shifting priorities and constant crisis management. Large code base has a desperate need to be refactored but there's never time for that as a priority. Very little career advancement opportunities.

Pros

* Easy going work environment with competitive pay and benefits. * Co-workers are friendly. * Development can work from home at least 50% of the time.

Cons

* Starting Jan 15th 2015, as a condition of continued employment, all associates are required to have their taxes done by HRB. They are also now required to have and use HRBs emerald pre-paid debit card. * Very little accountability; meaning everything is someone else's problem.
