Pros

-Very Flexible Hours (perfect if you're in school) -Not one bad person working here -Highly desirable skillset learned -Career development and growth highly encouraged -Great if you love making connections with people -You can prepare you own tax return for free.

Cons

-Pay tends to be low (you're not an accountant nor CPA) -Busy and stressful job during peak (Feb and April). -Being customer support, a job duty outside of preparing tax returns. -No benefits for Seasonal workers (health insurance, time off, etc. see flexible hours tho)

Pros

Great office environment. Great management team. Flexible hours except during heavy volume times.

Cons

Not enough recognition. Scheduling is a major sticking point at times since you be called in to work as little as one hour's notice.

Pros

1. Leadership Experience – This role would allow me to gain hands-on leadership and management experience by assisting in overseeing tax professionals and office operations, which would be valuable for my career growth. 2. Client Interaction & Problem-Solving– I enjoy working with clients and finding solutions to their needs. This position would give me the opportunity to develop strong customer service and problem-solving skills while ensuring smooth office operations. 3. Training & Professional Development – H&R Block offers training and development programs, including tax preparation courses and leadership training. I appreciate opportunities to grow my skills and advance in my career.

Cons

1. Seasonal Employment – Since this role is primarily seasonal, it may not provide year-round job stability or benefits, which means I might need to find other work during the off-season. 2. High-Pressure Environment During Tax Season – The job can be stressful, especially during peak tax season, with tight deadlines, long hours, and a high volume of clients needing assistance. 3. Limited Advancement Opportunities – While H&R Block offers training programs, long-term career advancement may be limited, especially since seasonal employees are not always retained year-round. 4. Dealing with Difficult Clients – As with any customer-facing role, I may encounter frustrated or upset clients, particularly when they have tax-related concerns or disputes.
