Pros

There really isn't anything good to say other than you meet some wonderful people in the trenches.

Cons

Very few people last past the 6 month probationary period as the managers invent reasons to get rid of people. They offer No training to help improve things and then blame the staff for not improving. Customer service is the last thing HGS care about, it's all about arbitrary statistics that force staff to do the minimum necessary to help customers. Managers treat staff appallingly, doing their utmost to make employees feel like they don't count. The policies change from day to day, and the staff are expected to retroactively abide to new policies. The managers are clueless when it comes to any HR policies or procedures. But the worst thing is staff are encouraged to come in when they are ill meaning that there are more germs flying around Tulketh Mill than a Infectious Disease centre.

Pros

Working from home was the only good part of this job.

Cons

Good luck getting the correct pay, any time off or any support from managers. They chop and change the rules for their campaigns without telling you and the training is abysmal for what they expect. Minimum wage for an extremely stressful job where you have to put customers on hold while you wait for help from managers who also don't know what they're doing - or palmed off to look at a discovery tree that has zero useful information. You then get yelled at for having customers on hold. They mess up your pay and you need to fight for them to fix it. Managers are rude and unhelpful and there is zero job security. You have to supply your own equipment and God forbid you have tech issues - they don't pay you. They expect miracles from you with minimal training and awful support. You are just a number to them. They give you unfair and ridiculous feedback and mark you down for things you were never told or taught to do. You get zero time between calls and on busy days you can get over 150 calls with a 30 minute break for lunch. Do not work here. No room for progression and lack of information and support to be rehired.
