Pros

Honestly, I can’t think of anything

Cons

Management & executives are the most toxic individuals. They verbally abuse their employees & manipulate everything / everyone. When I was hired, I was promised many things - safe work environment, inclusion, training & open communication. Instead I was met with micromanagement, passive aggressive communication and discrimination. My job’s description was very simple and straightforward yet they made me do tasks that were WAY BEYOND my job. I regret not taking a stand earlier and demand higher pay. I did discuss things with HR about tasks that made me uncomfortable and they refused to accommodate my request. The yelling, name calling, and comments about whether I am able to complete a task simply because of being “male and/or female” from the COO, HR & other executives caused me to question my worth as a human. The treatment they put me through caused me to have severe anxiety and depression which also resulted in a delay for reviewing the company. To this day, I still deal with the pain and trauma their words and actions have brought to me. To future *potential* or even current employees, I beg you to please speak up for yourself to these bullies or don’t even apply. I spoke with past and present employees at this company and they are all scared of the same people I mentioned in this post.

Harmonia is fully committed to support a healthy work life balance for all of our employees. We have a very generous paid time off policy. We offer paid parental leave after 1 year of service with the company. Pros

Christmas party. There are no other pros unfortunately.

Cons

No room for growth. Indian culture ONLY. Hardly anyone in the Alexandria branch speaks English in a professional environment. Pay is on time but no where near to match the talent of employees. Co-workers feel trapped because of H1b sponsorship. Manager feels more like a babysitter than a leader.

I'm sorry to hear you feel this way, but I don't agree with your perception. We value the cultures of ALL of our employees and are proud of our diversity. If you are interested in growth opportunities, reach out to your Program Manager to discuss training or certifications that may help you reach that next level. We will likely even pay for it for you! We want our good employees to keep growing in the company and are eager to invest in them. Please feel free to reach out directly to Human Resources if you would like to discuss any of your concerns further. We will also happily explain to you how H1b sponsorship actually works . And it was a fantastic Christmas party, wasn't it?

Pros

When I worked at Harmonia, it was staffed with some of the most intelligent and talented people I have ever worked with. From upper management to the line developers, there is not a single one of them that I would not be overjoyed to work with again.

Cons

This is from several years back, but at the time the company was stuck in a cycle where it would shoot for the moon and miss badly. Upper management kept trying to wave a magic wand to achieve nearly impossible tasks. When things failed, they sometimes got bitter and sometimes got angry. Once that happened I was shocked at how poorly I was treated. Very ugly, very vindictive.

It is true that our early years were a bit of a challenge. Not to say that we don't have newer challenges now, but we have done pretty well in recent years, in part because as you have pointed out, we did find the things we can do really well but mostly because of an incredibly talented team! We'd love to speak with you again, invite you to see how we've grown and tell us what you think - call us or write to us!
