Pros

You Meeting a lot of different people with different backgrounds and you do learn about furniture if that's something that interests you.

Cons

So many! Favoritism is blatant and your top 6/7 reps can do whatever they'd like. This is not a 60/70 thousand a year job. You need to build a pipeline which takes 6/7 months to do and even then you aren't guaranteed that kind of money. This is a $12 an hour job with the ability to get lucky some months. You work with very nice people who will steal and speak behind your back regularly while they smile to your face. Management is aware of the cheating but simply DOES NOT CARE. The floor is over staffed at all times and you can go hours without the ability to speak with a customer. Please stay away, you will thank me for it later.

Commission only!

Pros

Great management team. They really want to help you grow and succeed with the company.

Cons

They start off with saying you will make $10 an hour. This is false. It is commission only and you have a quota each month to hit of $45k: $40k in some locations. If you miss that $40-45k you go on probation. The next month (month 2) you have to hit that $40-45k quota and the difference from the month before. Same goes for month 3. If you can not hit all the quota requirements by end of month 3, your fired. Be aware.

Sales Manager

Pros

Old company been around a long time. Established. I was a Sales Manager for 5 years.

Cons

Long hours, no life / work balance, sales targets are adjusted unfairly every year, gold and how much you have to sell. No consistency... sales people are always spooked and panicked because of this. Micro manged (sign of a bad company culture) Mr Haverty's would be turning over in his grave. Low moral most sales and managers want to quit.
