Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this valuable feedback from your employment here at Health Advocate. While I am glad that you have mentioned that our knowledge and our technology are pros, I am truly sorry to hear that your experiences with career development, recognition, and workload were not as positive. As you know, in any customer-focused business, we always put the customer and their needs first, which can be overwhelming at times, especially in our busy seasons. However, we are constantly staffing to address our growing business to deliver the best service. In fact, we recently won the Best in Biz Silver Award for Most Customer-Friendly Company of the Year in 2018. I am also pleased to announce that in attempts to address concerns about development, we recently rolled out an internal “university” wherein our employees can access tens of thousands of eBooks, podcasts, videos, and courses to expand their knowledge on their position as well as future positions they are interested in pursuing. These courses are available through PCs, tablets, and personal cell phones 24/7. In addition, we are constantly engaging our employees in recognition lunches and events, highlighting member compliments, and writing thank you notes. I understand that people like to be recognized in different ways; if you would like to share your ideas on how we can recognize employees differently, I can be reached at Hmintzer@healthadvocate.com Thanks again for your thoughtful review; we wish you the best luck in your future endeavors. Pros

Free Coffee and Tea Fitness Center in Plymouth Meeting, PA Free Parking Quarterly luncheons paid by the company to celebrate birthdays (Exton) Café Oasis (Plymouth Meeting) Helping people in need. Good work is done and needed by members. Service is of value. Steady work.

Cons

On-call rotation Can't work from home unless you are based in Jacksonville or you're a manager. The commute to Exton. Static environment adverse to change Lack of leadership Lack of opportunity to grow your career Inconsistent rules/enforcement Lack of policies Lack of organization Blatant Favoritism Lack of management engagement with staff Friction between call centers; friction between sales and service delivery Company does not want to appear small, but is run like a community/regional EAP. HR is a tool for management only and will not represent employees. Strong desire to run things they way they always have been so the same people who have been there for 20 plus years can stay in power. Too much distance between those in power and the rank and file. No realistic way to measure performance. The president rules by fear and wants to isolate his call center from the rest of the company. Likes to flaunt how much power he has and how little recourse you have as an employee. Company is hemorrhaging money on real estate. So many empty seats and little to no opportunity to work from home
